Dr. Schwartz is a board-certified Orthopedic surgeon who has been in practice for almost 20 years. He is a native of North Jersey who graduated from Chicago Medical School after completing his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan. He then went on to complete his orthopedic residency at JPS hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Schwartz then completed a sports medicine fellowship at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia where he received extensive training in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. While in fellowship Dr. Schwartz worked with professional and university level sports teams including the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Sol, Wings, and St. Joseph’s University. He has served as the team physician for Pottstown High School, Valley Forge Christian College, in addition to treating injured athletes from many local elementary thru college level schools.

Dr. Schwartz joins the newly rebranded Healthbridge Multi-specialty group in September of 2025. Prior to joining HBMSG he spent the previous 10 years in private practice with Premier Orthopedics in Collegeville, Malvern, and Exton PA. He has also practiced in Pottstown and Phoenixville PA, North Jersey, and New York City. He currently has staff privileges at the Main Line Hospitals (Bryn Mawr, Paoli, and Lankenau), Tower Health hospitals (Pottstown and Phoenixville) and Chestnut Hill Hospital. In addition, he performs many procedures at local surgery centers. He will be seeing patients at offices in Bala Cynwyd, Allentown, Lancaster, Reading, and the North Broad Philadelphia office. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) and a member of the AAOS (American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery) and POS (Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society).

Dr. Schwartz uses his expertise to treat patients of all ages ranging from acute and traumatic injuries to chronic overuse syndromes. Understanding the importance for a quick and comprehensive recovery from injury, he uses the most advanced orthopedic techniques to treat a wide variety of orthopedic injuries and fractures. Treating a wide variety of injuries of the upper and lower extremities, he carries a specialized interest in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder (including but not limited to tendon, ligament (ie, ACL), cartilage, and bone injuries).

Dr. Schwartz also performs joint replacements of the knee, hip, and shoulder. Dr. Schwartz resides in the local community with his wife, three sons, and two dogs. He is an avid athlete who continues to play sports such as softball and golf. He has also coached his children in many sports but now enjoys watching them excel at the middle school and high school level. He is a family man who enjoys his time with his extended family, whether being active outdoors or spending relaxing time at home.
